This is the best breakfast sandwich ever. Big claim, but trust me on this, it's the best. One of the things that I actually don't usually like to have is breakfast. Where as my husband is a big breakfast kind of guy. I'm typically quite satisfied with a cup of coffee and then having a brunch just before noon.
With that being said, offer me this sandwich and I'll gladly devour breakfast. It hits all the right notes and the better part, it's so easy to make. Who doesn't love a meal that takes hardly any effort with a big taste pay off, am I right?
So let's get into it. Here's what you'll need to make a really amazing egg breakfast sandwich.
1 egg/per serving
2 slices toast/ per serving
1-2 slices chicken or turkey deli
1/2 cup greens of choice
1 oz grated cheese (optional)
1/2 tsp everything but the bagel seasoning (optional)
1 tbsp olive oil or butter
salt and pepper to taste
Start by toasting your bread.
As that toasts, oil or butter a skillet over medium-high heat and fry up your eggs. I make mine over easy. 1-2 mins each side.
Season the eggs before removing from pan. If you’re scrambling the eggs then I’d recommend adding in the cheese before they cook through. If over easy, add the cheese now.
The toast should be ready, place on plate and assemble.
I recommend cutting it vertically to open the runny yolk. Enjoy!
