We're Going To Disney World!

Today I'm sharing a really easy tutorial of how to DIY/make your own Minnie/Mickey Ears for Disney :) They're incredibly simple and look hella expensive (for a fraction of the cost of others).

I really enjoyed making the ears so much that I made THREE different sets of them. The first has crystal Minnie ears, white carnations and red that represent the classic red bow. I also did put a little foliage in that set to make the flowers pop. The second set has thin silver hoop ears, pink flowers, a pink bow and daisies. It's so simple, but so beautiful. Lastly, I made a gold one, gold hoop Mickey ears, daisies as a crown and the iconic red and white polka dot Minnie Mouse bow atop. It's difficult to choose a favourite based on how beautiful each of these ears turned out.

This is a no sew method. I used a glue gun and ribbon to adhere everything together. I found things fastened quite well this way. I didn't need to manipulate wires, because I purchased large hoop earrings from an accessory store to act as the ears. It was a really good idea, because then you don't have to worry about manipulating sharp and dangerous wires, only to get a semi-perfect circle.

As a perfectionist, it was oddly satisfying seeing how perfect they fit against the skinny headband. Now, I know a thicker headband is preferred by some of these DIY-ers, but honestly, I'm not here for it. Why? Because, I want to be able to style it with my hijab and a big bulky headband won't look right. Plus, they kinda look like they're better suited for toddlers, haha.
